Add in line 42: “The third pillar consists of the political platform which resembles the fundamental political consensus of GYG. It can be updated in Congress through amendments. A complete content review requires a process led by the SC. If at least two regional federations ask for a content review, the SC will propose it to the Congress. The SC can also initiate this process itself.”</strong></p></div></div><h2>Reason</h2><div class="paragraph"><div class="text motionTextFormattings"><p>This was already planned to be proposed in the online congress in 2022 but in the end not discussed. It would create a place for the content work the working groups have already been doing and open policy oriented discussions inside of GYG.</p></div></div>]]></description>

                        <description><![CDATA[<h2>Motion text</h2><div class="paragraph"><div class="text motionTextFormattings fixedWidthFont"><p>Change line 203 “All oversight committee members must be members of Global Greens member organization…” to “All oversight committee members must be members of Global<strong> Young </strong>Greens member organizations”</p></div></div><h2>Reason</h2><div class="paragraph"><div class="text motionTextFormattings"><p>Global Young Greens should be independent from the Global Greens in terms of its decision-making. There is no benefit for GYG to limit our pool of candidates for SC and it allows GG to structurally influence our decision-making process, in the sense that we could only elect people who they approve. GYG and GG have separate memberships. This principle is against our belief in youth’s autonomy and GYG’s. It also significantly limits member organizations’ involvement in GYG in case they have seperated membership lists from their mother parties, which are not uncommon especially for Europe and Asia-Pacific regions.</p></div></div><div class="paragraph"><div class="text motionTextFormattings"><p>This restriction might also prevent active and engaged young Greens across all regions from standing in elections, which can worsen the lack of participation from MOs in the GYG network. In other words, we need all the talented and engaged people we could get in this network.</p></div></div><div class="paragraph"><div class="text motionTextFormattings"><p>In addition, this principle also fails to consider the financial restraints many young Greens are facing, as a party membership fee could be too high for some to afford.</p></div></div>]]></description>
